This course is designed to equip learners with the knowledge, practical skills and confidence to carry out manual handling activities safely and effectively. The course provides a detailed understanding of manual handling legislation, risk assessment principles and safe handling techniques.

  • Health and safety legislation
  • Legal duties and responsibilities
  • Understanding risk
  • The human and financial cost of accidents
  • Common injuries and how they occur
  • Employer / employee duties
  • Correct lifting techniques
  • The manual handling assessment chart (MAC)
  • Completion of documentation

· Employees at all levels who are required to undertake manual handling activities as part of their role

Certification

· NETA Certificate (NETA certificates have an advised expiry of 3 years from date of issue)
