Health and Safety faqs

What does CCNSG stand for?

Client Contractor National Safety Group.

What is the difference between CCNSG Safety Passport and CITB Health, Safety and Environmental (HS&E) Card

The CCNSG Safety Passport is a two-day training course. After sitting a test at the end of the course, successful candidates can then access engineering construction sites.  In contrast, the CITB test is for the construction industry, which has different health and safety requirements for working on sites.

How long is the CCNSG Safety Passport valid for?

The ECITB CCNSG Safety Passport Card is valid for 3-years from the date of issue. You can renew your passport up to 6 months prior to its expiry date, and doing so early does not penalise your 3-year validity period (the new card adds 3 years onto the original expiry date).
