Course Overview
The aim of the course is to provide delegates with the practical and theoretical knowledge to enable them to use
and inspect Gin Wheel/Rope in accordance with statutory regulations, guidance notes and the manufacturer’s instructions.
Course Content
The course covers the following key topics:
- Relevant Health and Safety Regulations
- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Requirements
- Manual handling
- Inspection of Gin Wheel
- Safety in the use of Gin Wheel and Rope
- Safe positioning whilst using Gin Wheel
- Selection of correct knots for various loads
- Identify hazards and risks arising from the use of Gin Wheel and Rope
Certification
· On successful completion of the course, candidates will receive a NETA certificate. Please Note: NETA certificates have an advised expiry of 3 years from date of issue. The certificate will be sent directly to the delegate or their sponsor company
