Level 3 Experienced Worker – 2346-03

Course Overview

This course is designed for practising electricians who have extensive industry experience but do not currently hold a recognised Level 3 electrotechnical qualification. The qualification enables experienced workers to demonstrate their occupational competence against the industry standard for installation electricians. Through workplace assessment and the collection of evidence, candidates can gain formal recognition of their skills and knowledge, supporting progression towards recognised industry status and access to an Electrotechnical Certification Scheme (ECS) Gold Card.

  • Please note, course duration is 3 – 8 months.

Course Content

  • The assessment focuses purely on workplace competence rather than classroom learning
  • Evidence is gathered through workplace activities, observations, photographs, documentation, witness testimonies and professional discussions
  • Delegates will need to demonstrate competent performance for each NVQ unit over a number of jobs covering a specified range of work
  • To show consistency, the range of assessment activities will need to be covered over at least two separate occasions for each of the units that have both ‘Knowledge Evidence’ and ‘Performance Evidence’ requirements that need to be met (this does not necessarily mean only 2 jobs)
