Setting up a bonus ball at NETA Training has not only brought good fortune to its weekly winners but is proving a bonus for good causes too.

The latest count of the coffers saw £400 raised, triggering a visit to the Alice House Hospice online Amazon wish list.

“Everybody is so willing to get involved with things like this,” said Sian Cameron, NETA’s commercial operations and compliance manager.

“A lot of good causes are close to our hearts here at NETA, and so if we can help then we will.”

Based in Hartlepool, Alice House Hospice provides care, comfort and support to those affected by life-limiting illness and their loved ones.

Sian, along with commercial manager, Lisa Wells, and administration and compliance team lead, Sue Campbell, paid a visit to the hospice where they were able to provide a vacuum cleaner, a folding bed, drink glasses and even ice cube trays – all essential items from the charity’s wish list. They were also invited to tour the facilities.

Nicky Haggan, co-chief executive of Alice House Hospice, said: “The support received from NETA Training and its generous staff members continues to make a real difference to the lives of local hospice patients and their families.

“This kind of business support is vital in terms of sustaining our services and helps to ease financial pressures in what is a particularly challenging time for hospices. Furthermore, the resources donated help to ensure we have the things we need in place around the building and saves us considerable expense.

“On behalf of everyone at the hospice, we would like to say a huge thank you to the team at NETA for their kindness and the warmth shown towards our work.”

The NETA team has also donated another fantastic £330 to the hospice following an Easter raffle. Sian said all those who contributed made it “egg-ceptionally” awesome!
