Have you considered what an apprenticeship could do for you or your business?

This National Apprenticeship Week we are sharing the stories of some of our own apprentices.

Today we have been catching up with Welding apprentice, Rory.

Careers in welding appear to run in Rory’s family. Both his dad and granddad have done the job before him but it wasn’t until Rory tried welding for himself, that he realised it was the job for him.

It seems only fitting then that the 20-year-old would secure a welding apprenticeship. Snapped up by Fabricom he is now in training at NETA.

“I chose an apprenticeship because I wanted to better myself and pick up all the skills that it can offer. To me this seemed the best way to get into industry. I know what I need to do, I am picking up new skills all the time and I am enjoying it.”
