Scott named Apprentice of the Year

An Electrical Apprentice, who began his off-the-job training at NETA, has recently received the NHS 4th Year Apprentice of the Year Cup for his ‘Exemplar’ NVQ portfolio.

20 year-old Scott Ruddock from Stockton recently completed a four year Advanced Apprenticeship in Electrical Engineering through the Northern & Yorkshire NHS Assessment Centre, Scot who was at NETA for his off-the-job training, was rewarded for completing an outstanding NVQ Level 3 E Portfolio which is now being used as a benchmark by assessors and apprentices..

NETA Opens Additional Scaffolding Facility at Teesport

Due to the outstanding success of its commercial scaffolding business and its Train To Gain contract NETA has opened an addition training facility at its Teesport site to keep pace with the demand. The new centre opening in November will initially provide CISRS Card Scheme scaffolding training to Parts 1, 2 and 3 and NVQ levels 2 and 3. Future development will include system scaffold, PASMA, aluminium mobile towers and scaffolding inspection.

NETA to Provide Health and Safety Test for CISRS Card

The Construction Skills Health & Safety Test is the industry standard, taken by over 500,000 people every year. It is designed to ensure everybody working in construction has a minimum level of health and safety awareness.Passing the test is an essential part of qualifying for the major card schemes such as CISRS (The Construction Industry Scaffolders Record Scheme) and CSCS (Construction Skills Certification Scheme). 

NETA will shortly be opening a facility at its Stockton on Tees site for the those wishing to take the online test.
