There has never been a better time to discover what an apprenticeship could do for you or your business.

It is National Apprenticeship Week and whether you are looking for a new career, want to up-skill in your existing role, or are an employer looking to grow your business, an apprenticeship could be the answer.

Need some inspiration? This week we will be catching up with some of our apprentices to find out how apprenticeships are working for them…

First up is mechanical fitting apprentice Luke.

Training to be a mechanical fitter is no walk in the park. As Luke will tell you, it takes hard work and determination but, he says, it is knowing you have an employer behind you that gives you that extra drive.

Luke chose an apprenticeship because he prefers a more hands-on approach to learning and was delighted to secure a position with PD Ports.

Now learning the skills of his trade at NETA, he says: “It is great because you are doing something that you have chosen. You know you have an employer so you want to impress them all the time.” And he’ll admit it, “the money is a big push too!”

Want to know more about apprenticeship training opportunities at NETA? Come and chat to our team at the Stockton Riverside College Apprenticeship Open Evening tomorrow (Wednesday 16th March) at the College’s Teesdale campus, Harvard Avenue, Stockton, from 5.30pm to 7.30pm. Or give us a call on 01642 616936.
