NETA Training is committed to safeguarding our students. This commitment is shown throughout NETA's core values.
We have dedicated welfare and safeguarding officers at NETA who are there to support students’ wellbeing. Students’ physical and mental health can affect their learning. The specialist welfare and safeguarding team are available as a first point of contact for all our students who have concerns about any aspect to their home or college life. We offer information, advice and guidance on a range of issues including:
- Managing relationships
- Mental health
- Housing
- Substance misuse
- Abuse, domestic abuse, neglect
- Sexual health
- Bullying including cyber bullying
- Benefits
- Internet safety
We have access to many external support agencies and we can signpost students to relevant services, where applicable.
