The Welding Scholarship is an 18-month course consisting of 2 phases. Phase 1 (months 1-6) - Level 2 Skills Development and assessment foundation phase. Phase 2 (months 7-18) - Level 3 Skills Development with specific training in either pipe or plate welding and registration and completion of welding code/s. The course will be delivered 5 days per week.
What will you do
While in centre, you will do practical study in, general health & safety, health and safety passport ( CCNSG), basic power tools/ hand tools, applying for jobs, CV writing and interview techniques, cutting and shaping. You will also receive hands on experience in difference ECI disciplines, including; gas cutting, fabrication & welding, plating and mechanical Hand Skills. You will also work towards achieving a Level 3 Diploma in Engineering Technologies.
You could move on to an engineering apprenticeship or full time employment or continue with your studies to gain an even higher qualification.
