Introduction

A Rigging Apprentice will learn rigging skills and techniques which sometimes involve working at heights and in challenging environments. Riggers work across a range of Industry sectors involving the construction of plant and equipment. Health and safety forms a major part of this role.

Is it right for me

You will specialise in the lifting and moving of extremely large or heavy objects, often with the assistance of a crane. You will get practical experience in lifting loads and slinging, along with the required health and safety training to enable you to work safely at all times. What's next

Progression on to a higher level engineering qualification or go into full-time employment.
