Pipefitters fabricate pipework and supports using detailed engineering drawings, cutting, shaping and bending pipe in preparation for welding. Often working alongside welders they connect piping efficiently and safely, sometimes in difficult conditions.
Is it right for me
You will learn how to read drawings, measure and mark out, how to use hand tools. You will also be taught pattern development, oxy-fuel cutting and fabrication techniques, welding and small bore tubing. You will learn about pipefitting and piping systems, including pipework maintenance and flange integrity systems and fabricate complex pipe spools. On this course you will also gain your CCNSG Safety Passport.
