COURSE CONTENT
- Outline of differing cable types: Power and Instrumentation: Steel wire armoured (SWA), steel wired braided (SWB), unarmoured cabling
- Glanding of cables: Selection and installation of appropriate cable glands for Steel wire armoured (SWA), steel wired braided (SWB), unarmoured cabling
- Termination of cables: Selection and installation of appropriate termination methods for differing cable types
- Safe isolation: use of visual voltage test equipment, safe isolation procedure
- Testing of cables: Preparation for testing, selection of appropriate test equipment, carrying out required tests
- Inspection of Installations: Different grades of inspection, use of IEC fault codes, inspection reports
