AIM To give candidates the necessary refresher training, skills and knowledge required to sit the AM2 Skill Test.
Pre-Requisite Delegates must be in an electrical apprenticeship or undertaking an electrical qualification which requires the AM2 Skill Test.
Course Duration 2 days.
Maximum Number 6 persons.

On successful completion of this course, delegates will be able to:
Carry out suitable safe isolation techniques to the standard required by the EAW Regulations 1989
Follow suitable inspection and testing techniques for the requirements of the AM2 test
Apply a logical approach to fault finding
Understand various types of circuits
Practice the practical aspects that will be assessed in the AM2 Skills Test
Safe isolation and de-isolation techniques as prescribed by the Electricity at Work Regulations 1989

Continuity of protective conductors including main and supplementary bonds
Continuity of ring final circuit conductors
Earth fault loop impedance
Functional testing – RDC’s
Electrical drawing symbols to include basic D.O.L. motor control circuit
