Whether you want to work in industry, specialise in a particular area or eventually go on to run your own consultancy firm, our courses will give you an understanding of the specialist work related skills that are in demand by many employers.

What will I do? Our engineering courses cover a wide range of services and technical skills relevant to electrical, mechanical and manufacturing engineering. Learning in a hands on environment you’ll get the technical knowhow along with important lessons in health and safety, communications, science and maths.
How will I learn? By successfully completing tasks set by NETA’s Subject Tutors which may include performing practical construction of physical structures, mechanical devices and electronic circuits, programming machinery.
How am I assessed? Carrying out assignments and tests in a realistic industrial working environment.
What uniform do I need? None, it will all be provided.
Entry Requirements: Five GCSE’s grade A*-C, including math’s, science and English, or a BTEC Level 2 Diploma (merit grades) or equivalent.
New English and math’s entry requirements: You will be required to study these subjects if you do not already have a grade A-C.

What’s next? You could move on to work or an engineering apprenticeship in areas such as project control, electrical, instrumentation, design, mechanical fitting or pipefitting. Or after successful completion of the Level 3 Extended Diploma you could go on to a relevant degree course at university.
