All our courses have minimum requirements for literacy and numeracy and pre course assessments may be undertaken to ensure that candidates meet the pre-requisites.
Support is available for candidates who may require help before undertaking the course. The support ranges from help for dyslexic learners, basic skills problems or updating mathematical skills, which may form part of the course. All enquiries will be dealt with sensitively and in confidence.

Dangerous Substances & Chemical Awareness

Fork Lift Truck Driver Training

Aim
To provide the skills and knowledge required by operatives to perform the duties of an authorised Fork Lift Truck Driver.

Pre Requisite Prospective candidates should be minimum of 17 years of age. Exceptions to this are in the construction industry where operatives must be at least 18 years of age. All candidates must have a mature sense of responsibility and have no health problems which may exclude them from driving.
Target Audience
Optimum Number: Maximum numbers per course are as follow:
Novice - 3 trainees Experienced - 3 trainees Refresher - 3 trainees
Course Duration: The course duration will depend on driver experience and/or ability. An indication would be as follows:
Novice - 5 days Experienced - 3 days Refresher - 1 day
Training Aids Predominantly practical although some classroom work is involved.
Assessment Practical and theoretical testing is carried out at the end of each course.
