Inspiring Young Engineers, take a closer look
Employers were given the chance to go behind the scenes at NETA during our first Inspiring Young Engineers, take a closer look event.
The aim was to offer businesses the chance to network while finding out more about the full range of opportunities available here at NETA and meet some of our existing engineering students.
Offering an overview about the growth of NETA was Managing Director Phil Blewitt, while Strategic Business Development Co-ordinator David Thompson also shared an insight into T Levels and extended work placements with the support of Stockton Riverside College Group Vice Principal in Curriculum & Development, Mandy Morris.
A tour of the NETA workshops, gave visitors the chance to look at our students’ work before networking with the team over a buffet lunch.
With guests from companies including PD Ports, Lionweld Kennedy, K Home International, SK Chilled Foods, TS Plant Sales, NETA’s Head of Department, David Laycock said: “The event was a great success. As well as giving us the chance to show some of the amazing opportunities we have to offer here at NETA, it was fantastic for our students to gain real experience having one-to-one conversations with employers.”
Already looking forward to our next event, if you would like to get involved email David Laycock on firstname.lastname@example.org or 01642 616 936.
